      What A Sport! - #333 -- A casual jacket

If you want a casual jacket for most any occasion...this is it! A & B have front and back yokes, the perfect place to embellish. View B features an unusual collar and cuffs. View C has a choice of hip or fingertip length, with a set-on elasticized band and two collar choices. Many more ideas and options inside.

View A is a simple design using only one pattern piece. By adding two more pieces, View B evolves into an entirely different look, one that can be worn loose, layered or belted. View C top has drop shoulders, long or short sleeves and revers. For a casual or dressy garment, consider View D that has a bateau neckline and a clever pocket detail.

In the Studio - 8

Skirts, Skirts, Skirts! Include this perfect garment in your wardrobe plan. View A is tailored and the basis for Views B, C, D, with many options. View B features two bias triangular shapes that are sewn into the side seams, then tied in a square knot. View C has a contrasting overly out on the bias and has two soft pleats at the side. The loose apron-like panel buttons at the left side. View D also begins with the straight skirt and ends in a contrasting or matching ruffle at the bottom. View E is full wrap skirt with many darts at the top edge to control the shape.

Folds and edges has three distinct looks. View A has an origami-type collar that can be folded and worn in a variety of ways. View B has a lined and folded front band that extends beyond the hem. View C has a triangular front section for a flattering diagonal line. The clever, topstitched sleeve can be added to any jacket or shirt on a future project. Any view can easily be made into a vest.

A sophisticated jacket that will take you anywhere. The curved seaming, front and back, flatters the figure. The jacket has a choice of raised neckline or a shawl collar with button closures. For a more fitted look the side panels offer a space for a variety of options. The drop shoulder design looks great when made as a vest.
